Admiral: Sharon is hoping that someone can help her to solve a bit of a puzzle. She was recently shown a photograph taken in 1929 at a place calle Hordle in England of a group of men in tennis gear. They were Admirals Holland, Reeves, Beaty-Pownall, Greatorese and Erskine. She has managed to trace quite a bit of information on some of them (like Admiral Holland for instance) but can find nothing at all on Admiral Greatorese and very little on Beaty-Pownall. Any information on these Admirals (or any others in the photo) would be gratefully received. Contact Sharon Warr

On the back of one of the pictures is a piece of paper giving a description of HMS Achilles (size, armament etc.). It also describes the action depicted in the pictures which took place in the First World War. On the bottom of each picture is a plaque inscribed “Presented by Captain, Officers and Ships Company of HMS Achilles”. Who were they presented to? If you can help contact Vernon Bye

HMS Ark Royal: Ian Bateman served in Ark Royal from 1987 through 1990. Towards the end of this time, the ship brought out its first commissioning book. Due to various circumstances and moving house a few times over the years, the book has been lost. Can anyone help him in anyway in either finding a copy of said book or who he could contact. Ark Royal was his first ship after training and he feels like he has lost a large part of his history in the service, which he left in 1994.

Where did the Spring Cruise take place? The tankard was passed on to Trevor McKie through his father from an Admiral Parry. Did Admiral Parry (rank may have been different then) serve in Achilles? Any information to Trevor McKie

I won a set of bells during the Petty Officers Mess, HMS Amazon De-commissioning raffle. These bells are unusual, given the fact they are made up of three saluting gun shell, with a plaque stating that these shells originated from rounds fired across the bows of HMY Britannia, whilst acting as Royal Yacht Guardship during the honeymoon of the Prince and Princess of Wales. I would appreciate any assistance
