HMS Eskimo: Looking for former ships company who served on the Eskimo during her Commissions, who are willing to put pen to paper and tell what they did during their Commissions. Keith served on the Eskimo 1966/68 and is in contact with over 120 of the ships company and are going to get a Web Site dedicated to the ship, but want the History of her career from the day she was launched until the day she was disposed They are also looking into the careers of former Eskimos. HMS Egret: The grandfather of Spencer Chapman, John William Chapman was an ordinance mechanic in HMS Egret when it was sunk by the 1st guided missile on August 27, 1943 in the Bay of Biscay. Unfortunately his grandfather went down with it as well as many others. Spencer knows from research to date that there were 36 survivors and would like to contact any of them. John also served in HMS Kent and would welcome contact with anyone who knew him. Contact Spencer Chapman

Seeking anyone who remembers Bill Tompkins, married to Margaret Bowles? Bill joined the Navy at 14 and "retired" in 1946. Best man at wedding was "Shiner" Wright. Family based mainly in Portsmouth. Served on HMS Effingham, last posting HMS Daedalus. Wife's brother-in-law was Bob Cardy, married to Rosie Bowles, also Portsmouth based. Bill died in 1972, Margaret (Madge) on 12 9 2001.
