HMS Osprey: Sid recently visited Weymouth and
Portland and was dissapointed to find the old HMS Osprey had been
demolished. He served at Osprey during 1961 and has not got any
pictures of it, or indeed, East Camp where a lot of the exercises
were carried out. He would be obliged if anyone has any photographs
that he could copy and return or electronic copies they could send

Land Army: Seeking an ex-Womens Land Army girl,
a wren by the name of Amy Colleen Guildford from Bromley, Kent
who married Tommy Lee in the 1960s and emigrated to Australia.
If anyone knows her whereabouts could they contact Doug

HMS Obdurate, WWII: On behalf of a relative, Pete Norris
is trying to find out what happened to Cyril Blake who came from
Caister, Great Yarmouth. He served in HMS Obdurate. His body was
never returned home and exactly what happened has remained a mystery.
If anyone can remember Cyril, or even better, what happened to
him could they contact Pete James O'Donnell is trying to find any information about
his fathers, also James O'Donnell, Royal Naval career. He served
in the Navy from 1942 to 47 in various ships - Raleigh, Drake,
Nile (Sphinx and Canopus), St Angelo, Euroclydon, Stag (Port Said),
Stage (Abbassia), Phoerivian and Ajax. Any information to James
HMS/m Oswald sunk by the Italian destroyer Vivaldi in August
1940. William George Chaff, Uncle of Angela Brooke was one of the
three that died. Does anyone have a photograph of the crew at that
time? Angela is also trying to locate his widow and son. William
married Dorothy Bryant in Stoke Damarel in 1931 when he was serving
in HMS Malaya and their son David George was born in 1939. Dorothy
may have married an Australian Serviceman named Burgess after William's

HMS/M Onyx - I am looking for any pictures taken during
HMS/M Onyx's 3 month deployment to Canada and the USA in late 1990.
I was on board for this trip but never took any pictures of the
visit to Halifax, St Johns or Boston. I will gladly pay any reprint
