HMS Osprey: Sid recently visited Weymouth and Portland and was dissapointed to find the old HMS Osprey had been demolished. He served at Osprey during 1961 and has not got any pictures of it, or indeed, East Camp where a lot of the exercises were carried out. HMS/m Oswald sunk by the Italian destroyer Vivaldi in August 1940. William George Chaff, Uncle of Angela Brooke was one of the three that died. Does anyone have a photograph of the crew at that time? Angela is also trying to locate his widow and son. William married Dorothy Bryant in Stoke Damarel in 1931 when he was serving in HMS Malaya and their son David George was born in 1939.
