Penelope: Pennie Molloy trained
to be a nurse in Plymouth in 1971 and as you can imagine, had lots
of fun with the sailors(!) On one very enjoyable Navy Days, she
and a group of fellow nurses went aboard HMS Penelope and
one of the sailors gave her his hat band. Sadly some swine pinched
it from the nurses home door!! Many years later she is about to
sell the house and sail away on a narrow boat which she is calling
Penelope, and would so love a Penelope hat band to put in a frame
at the door. If you have an old hat band gathering dust, she would
really cherish it, and will send a picture of the launch to you!!!
