HMS Trumph & HMS Glory: Seeking anyone who served in Triumph or Glory in the 1950s. Albert (Bertie) Waters served on Triumph and Glory. He drwoned whilst swimming in St Pauls Bay, Malta on November 17, 1953. He may have only just gone onto his second ship. He is buried at Kalkara Cemetery, Malta. He came from Norfolk and was a leading cook. If you have a photograph of Albert in his uniform could you contact Faith Batson

HMS Tiger: Some time in the early `70s, during an impromptu sods opera on the Tiger, I heard an old OA recite a ditty about a matelot who applied for a job at a zoo! The lead in to the ditty was that the matelot had been asked what experience he`d previously had with animals? His reply used each letter of the alphabet in turn and unfortunately the only lines I can remember nowadays are for the letters `A` which began “I`ve assisted aardvarks in Afghanistan to ....... for the letter, `P`, “I`ve pushed pink pills up parrots ******* in Paraguay and for `Z`, which goes on to describe the place where he`d once fitted a zipper to a zebra, and that was a play on words incidentally. I`m sure you get the idea. Almost as many years ago, I read an article in the Engineering Journal part of which was a three column list of words which could be inserted into conversations or letters etc. and which meant absolutely `bugger all`. If anyone has a copy of either the ditty or the list, would they be kind and send me a copy please? Contact Bob
