First visit to Montevideo by a hospital ambulance ship. HMS Hydra lands 51 casualties to be flown back to the UK on board RAF VC10s.

The weather closed in once again which prevented a great deal of aircraft movement.

Nordic Ferry was unloaded of her stores in the Transport Area.

Sir Geraint back-loaded 3 Cdo stores for Teal Inlet.

The Welsh Guards were bound for the southern beach on board Fearless, which, escorted by Avenger and Penelope, sailed from San Carlos at dusk.

HMS Exeter covered Fearless as well as the night's convoys to and from the Battle Group.

The Battle Group itself had a quiet day.

Fort Austin transferred all of her remaining stores and when this had been completed she left the TEZ for the last time to head for South Georgia and home.

HMS Active and Ambuscade detached for the bombardments and Invincible and Brilliant took positions to the south of Falkland Sound to wait for Canberras or any C-130s which might be reported.
