HMS Punjabi: Sixty-four years ago on May 1, the Tribal Class destroyer Punjabi was rammed and sunk by the battleship King George V while units of the Fleet were covering convoy PQ15 to Russia. By some miracle, since the encounter took place in Arctic waters, some 201 members of the crew of 250 were picked up. By my reckoning, every one of those survivors is well into his 80's - I will be 85 in June. If any of them read the Navy News I would like to hear from them. Contact Ken Tipper

Pellow 22 Class - May 1989: Richard Wright joined the Navy on May 29 1989 as an Air Engineering Mechanic. He then went on to work at RNAS Yeovilton and served onboard HMS Invincible from Jan 91 to Dec 92. He left the Navy back in October 1994 and has lost all contact with people that he worked with. CPOMEA Phil Pryor and LWWTR Sarah Pryor (formerly Appleby, nee Foster) are leaving the Navy together, after nearly fifty years combined service, on 28th November 2005.
