HMS Vernon: John Bembridge is looking for Harry (Patty) Lewis. Cook HMS Vernon 1958-1959. He was the best man at his wedding. I am his daughter in law and would love to track down this man as a special wedding anniversary gift. If anybody can advise how and where I should start looking I would really appreciate the help. HMS Victory: Seeking an old mate from our time in the Royal Navy. He is Joseph Langley, married with two children. Was residing in Edinburgh. The last time they saw each other was when they left HMS Victory mid 1958 after de-mob. They served together in HMS Soberton of whose Command was the eminant Lt.Commander Jock Slater, who went on to become the Admiral of the Fleet. HMS Valiant: Jean would like to contact Duncan Newson who was a Lieutenant on HMS Valiant in 1941 at the time of the Italian attack on Alexandria. She is featuring the incident in a forthcoming book and his recollection of a particular moment would be very useful. Contact Jean Hood (Mrs)

HMS Vanguard: Does anyone have a copy of a photograph of the Young Seamans class passing out on HMS Vanguard June 1951? It was taken under 'A' turret with Frank on the left front row holding a small plaque. If anyone does have a copy, he would be grateful to get a copy of it. Frank will pay all expenses. HMS Victorious 1943/44: Seeking anyone that served on HMS Victorious in 1943/44. Do you remember John Muir from Blantyre, Scotland? One of the names he mentions often is Ken Horton from Liverpool. It is John’s 80th birthday soon and his daughter would like to surprise him. Contact Marilyn Muir

HMS St Vincent: I would like to make contact with others who joined HMS St.Vincent in May 1966. Brian moved on into the FAA and then in 1972 transferred to the RAN. Anyone who remembers him from 766, 700P, 767, 829 squadrons he would love to hear from you. He also played in the station band. Contact Brian Newton

HMS Victorious: Can anyone provide information on the service life & career of AB J.X134427 J.H.Sampson who was in 32 mess HMS Victorious in 1944. It’s believed he was more usually referred to as Harry and his wife was Jean and living in Taunton. Contact Keith Sampson

HMS Valiant: Clive’s father Denis Holton served on HMS Valiant for a number of years during the war. He was on board during the mini-sub raid in Alexandria. If anyone remembers Denis, and/or has a copy of the 1960 Feature Film: The Valiant, Clive would be so grateful to speak with them at his expense. He would like to own a copy of the film and would be happy to pay any premium required to purchase a copy on either DVD or VHS format. Clive has been trying for a number of years to make contact with old colleagues of his Dad, without success and the Film of the Alexandria affair never seems to be shown on TV! Contact Clive Holton

HMS Venerable 1945/6: Seeking stoker Danny Graham who lived at 43 Brown Street, Camelon, Stirlingshire. Danny probably around 25 at the time, was onboard when he met F Springer, the pseudonym of the Dutch writer Carel Scneider who was about 13 at the time. Carel was being transported from an internment camp on Java to Ceylon. Carel and Danny became friends. If anyone knows where Danny is can they contact Liesbeth Dolk

Looking for anyone who might have known my father, Alan Ashwood. Dad trained at HMS St Vincent, I think around the mid 1950's. He then went on to serve aboard HMS Ark Royal and HMS Eagle. Dad came out of the Navy around 1970. He died unexpectedly 21 years ago. I am desperate to paint a fuller picture of Dad's life and would be grateful of any help from old friends. HMS Valiant: Does anyone remember Arthur Needham from Fulham, West London who served during WW2 as a Leading Seaman on Valiant, Malaya, Caradoc and La Flore? He also provided on board musical entertainment it’s believed - a guitarist in a trio - and was pally with Charlie Hadnutt(?). Please contact Gary Needham

HMS Venerable: Ken McDowell is trying to find Edgar Seabury, who was a Dental Surgeon aboard Venerable in the Far East/Pacific, 1945/6. He would also like to hear from anyone else who was onboard at that time. Contact Ken via his daughter.

HMS Vengeance 1940s/50s:

HMS Victorious: Alexander Macgregor Wilson (Tug) was leading Cook on the Victorious in 1961/1963, and on the Vidal 1964/1965. He would love to hear from anyone who served onboard at that time. Contact Alexander

HMS Victorious: Anthony (Phil) Phillips, served as a leading cook, in HMS Victorious 1965/6 and HMS Dolphin 1967/8 alongside Richard Hewitt also a ships cook in his watch. Phil would very much like to contact Richard again. Richard came from Hemel Hempstead, but dont know if he returned there after leaving the service. Contact Phil
